Hi Diane,
My weight loss journey has been going on my entire life. I was a skinny kid, and became overweight for the first time in my life when I went to America for the first time. I was 17. I live in Sweden, married to an American man and we go back to America to see family alot. Since I was 17 my weight has gone up and down, I am now 36. I have had great success with weightwatchers before, and lost all my overweight and stayed skinny again for a long time after I had my two boys 15 years ago. When I got injured and couldn't exercise as hard anymore, and my job needed more and more of me I started putting on weight again. I was up at almost 230 lbs a couple of times, lost 60-70 lbs a number of times but always put it back on. The new more free weightwatcher programmes didn't work for me, or I didn't put enough effort in. I had to have clothes in sizes from 8-20 in my closet because of the fast and many weight fluctuations. Very hard on my body and my mind. I got depressed when being overweight and this last summer just decided I had enough of this!
I started SS'ing in August, at 216 lbs. Didn't eat a bite of food, only my 3 shakes a day and all the water. 12 weeks later I was 156 lbs. I maintained that weight for about a month and then slowly started falling back into old habits and the weight started coming back on... A third came back before I started over this time.
So 2 weeks ago I started ss'ing again. It is the best weight loss tool I have ever came across, BUT - I have to have a better plan this time. Weight doesn't stay off on it's own, I have to be active! I have to keep taking it one day at a time and not let it go. My final goal is 145, I am 5'8. And then to stay there. This board helps me alot to stay on track!
All the best of luck to you, keep posting!
Love from Lisa
