I read an article in Prevention magazine that said " Spicing up your meals may do more that just add great flavor, "Hot" foods such as jalapenos, chilie peppers and spices (like curry and cayenne), may actually increase body temperature. Body temperature and Metabolism are directly related: As you burn energy heat is released. As the theory goes, by increasing your internal body temperature, spicy foods may temporarily raise your metabolism and stimulate the use of stored fat as energy. (prevention 5/13/2008)
Remember I had asked if anyone else had times of their body heat being high yet no temperature. Well now we know.
So increase your internal body temperature, put a little hot sauce in that tomato soup and set your metabolism on FIRE. Most Hot sauces will not add calories. I like a little Cayenne Pepper sauce in my tomato soup. Gives it a little kick and enhances the flavor.
So turn up the heat, and Burn those Fat cells away.
