Sanda,
Maybe this will help you a little bit.
Food Addiction is hard to combat! You can decide to never take another drink of alcohol, never smoke another cigarette, or never use drugs again, BUT YOU CAN NOT DECIDE TO QUIT EATING!!!!! HOWEVER, if you choose, you can decide to not eat any food, and just to use the Cambridge products because you can live on Cambridge only. Don't do this if you have serious medical problems, unless your Doctor agrees for you to do this and monitors you. It is too low calorie for a sick person. For some of us, my self included, it is easier to not eat one bite because once we start we can not, or do not want to stop. The ten years I did the support classes in my home I had many students that were night eaters. Many of them were night eaters because the rest of the family could not see them eat. I had others that would wait until husband or wife left, got in the shower, or went to bed and then ate. Others told me that they ate to get back at the person who criticized them for eating too much and for being fat. Others had had a tragedy in their life and overate to help ease the grief. I started this support board so all of you can say what you want about your weight problems. Understanding what are the things that make you want to eat the most will help you to not continue to eat when these things happen. It is hard because most of us use food to comfort ourselves. Have you ever eaten one thing after another because you felt you needed something, but regardless what you ate you still felt the same way. Try saying, food won't fix it!, food won't fix it!, food won't fix it OVER & OVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! Then do something else, anything that will help you stop. If you want, take another serving of Cambridge. Sometimes it will stop you from a BINGE.
When I did sole source for 2 months one of the things that helped me not eat was the thought of having to go through the first 3 or 4 days again, Before I started, I had my husband take a picture of me in my bathing suit FROM THE BACK. Looking at that sure motivated me because we were going on a 2 week beach vacation where I would be swimming and would be wearing a bathing suit EVERY DAY.
Do your best. I kinow how hard it is.
Hugs & Love Ruthann
