Hey Darlah, you know what we are all v. emotionally involved with food or else we woudn't be here so never for one minute believe that you are in this alone because you are not, we all understand what you are going through and are here to help. We are definetly not sending him to Kindergarten next year no matter what,we mad that decision and it's final on our part we are trying to keep him in his preschool class which by the way is full day but it's a special autism class which has done him so much good in the past year he is finally really trying to make an effort to talk which is amazing to us Stay strong Darlah... Sandra --Previous Message-- : Hi Sandra! : : That's soo true - I was actually just kiddin : around - hopefully I can just lose That to : me would be ideal! You are doing sooo : wonderfully - such an inspiration! I will PM : you or do whatever it takes this time. I : think if I could just get past the first 10 : days, it would be easier and become routine, : rather than feeling like I've lost my best : friend - my tie is more emotional than : physical, I've learned. I'm seriously an : addict. : : Oh Sandra, if there's any advice I can give : you regarding kindergarten at all - Please : don't send him this coming year! And when : you do send him the following year - make it : half day kindergarten! I have made the : mistake for you already. Even though my son : turned 6 in Feb, he has had the TOUGHEST : year of his life being in kindergarten - : he's definitely lost a LOT of : sweetness/innocence just trying to fit in : with the other children (a lot of his class : was held back because they started young and : now they're older and have the experience, : but at the same time they're meaner). I : hate to say it, but it's soo true! Your : area could be very different, but we have : had a miserable experience this year in : kindergarten!! It shouldnt be this way. : Another mistake that I made was sending him : to full day - because we should right? : That's what I was led to believe - it's : waaay too much for them. Sure, they're : capable of learning the material and being : pushed through their lil 10 hour day, but : again, it takes away so much of their : innocence, their patience, etc. They just : don't need to be pushed as hard as society : expects - keep your lil guy little for as : long as you can! My son is finally coming : back around - but it has taken since about : Sept til now....he will finally hold my hand : again! Seriously, he was ridiculed and : called a baby and he cried because it hurt : his feelings and that made things even worse : - it's tough. I really wish things would go : back to the way they were in these early : years - pots and pans anyone?? : : Anyways, enough of my unsolicited advice I : hope you don't send him next year though! : Maybe a more advanced preschool would be : better? : : Take care of you and him Sandra!! : : Smile : Darlah : : --Previous Message-- : Hi Darlah, you can win as many in a row as : you : want..look at me I've never won : hahaha...Trust me it's not from lack of : trying but somebody beats me each week but : good for each week's winner I have nothing : but joy for the winner. I know you will do : it Darlah, just stick to it and if you feel : yourself weaving away post immediately and : if you need to post to me privately and let : me help you not quit...is that a deal? : : My little guy is doing well, we are : seriously fighting with the school system : right now who want him to start Kindergarten : and we feel strongly against it, he turns 5 : Sept. 8 so the first month of school he is : still 4, even if he was typical we would : have wanted to hold him back, why start him : off at a disadvantage. How are your little : ones? How are you adjusting to your new : place and new life? You are a tough cookie : Darlah, I have every faith in you. : : Sandra : : --Previous Message-- : Sandra, : : You are always sooo great to me! I really : appreciate you being here and being soo : helpful to everyone! What a gift you are to : the entire message board : : Can I win twice in a row?haha! I need to : get outta the 190's - that is my big goal : for right now! I don't wanna see the 2's or : the 19's : : You are doing sooooo well Sooo proud of : you!! How's that lil guy doin?? : : Smile : Darlah : : --Previous Message-- : Hi there sweet Darlah...I'm so proud of you : for getting back on track, welcome back, : I've added you back on to our biggest looser : chart so give us all a run for our money : this coming week, everyone is determined to : win next week but I think a litte birdie : told me that you might just get the crown : Sandra : : --Previous Message-- : Hi There! : : I hope everyone is doing well and from the : looks of it - everyone is!! Congrats Sandra : on breaking thru the 150's and right on into : the 40's YAY!! Congrats Ladymarvvy for : taking off 5 more unwanted pounds! Go Lisa : - you'll get thru today - keep chugging!! : : As for me, I'm starting today - it's my : birthday - 30th - the beginning of a new : decade!! Time for change! Sooo, here I am, : disappointed in myself for gaining so much : weight over the past couple of months, but : thankful that I know how to get it off : fairly quickly. I'm at 213.2 this week and : it is the highest that I've EVER been in my : life - never thought I'd be here - but I : guess we all get to different places for a : reason right? So here we go - I've changed : my mind and will weigh in weekly - and I'll : be reporting on Mondays. I've started Power : 90 - it's a beachbody workout program that : is 90 days long!! I think it'll be perfect : because with Power 90 and Cambridge, I could : very well be 90 pounds lighter in 90 days : That would be super exciting! So cheers : ladies, let's get'r done this time : : Smile : Darlah : : : : : : : : :
