Posted by Graham C My vetrinarian said it is possible that it was caused by Brachycephalic Syndrome .. where the soft pallet is too long cuasing him to breathe in in debris while eating and irritation of the throat with regualr breathing. Still its too early to tell if thats what it is due to the severe inflamation of the throat. Id appreciate all feed back Thanks and Happy New Year Graham Croteau

Hello Everyone.
My 15 week old mastino aspirated on Dec 29th and came close to passing away in vetrinarian care on the evening of the 28th. From what he aspirated is still a mystery. He is ok now and at home acting like is goofy usual self. Has anyone had any experience with aspiration pnemonia or known anybody to have dealt with this shocking experience. Im hoping to do everything i can to prevent this from happening in the futue. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
