Gosh, I hope my response wasn't taken in any other way than informational.
Like Tom said, the Tianguis (pronounced something like tea-on-geese), is a wonderful weekly event where you will find everything from dried chiles, plastic buckets, clothing and blender parts... to locally made arts and crafts, silver jewelry, talavera dishware, tableclothes, Oaxacan rugs, as well as the famous Huichol Indian artwork. It usually runs from about 8am-10m every Thursday at the plaza in La Penita.
