Depending on whether you go to Zacatecas via toll road from Guadalajara to Aguascalientes, or take highway 54 Guadalajara to Zacatecas. We drove the toll via Aguascalientes and it was easy and you are on a federal highway, protected. 4 hours from here to Guadalajara, and then another 3 (245 K) to Aguascalientes, and then 2 hrs (130 K) to Zacatecas. All depending on how much you stop and how fast you drive. Well worth the drive, for Zacatecas is a very beautiful city.
