I moved here at the beginning of October 2000 near the end of what was the wettest rainy season anyone could remember, and was here when Hurricane Kenna blasted through two years later. The only flooding I ever saw was of the low-lying fields surrounding the old, abandoned arena beside the highway at the north end of La Peņita and on the other side of the highway where there's a playground. Although the streets near your home may have standing water in places during the rainy season, your lot will probably not flood until the polar ice caps have finished melting.
