I just noticed that my computer clock has set itself back one hour. I had thought that it knew only what time zone it is in, not what country.
This bulletin board clock has not changed; apparently waiting for Canada and the US.
Such a load of crap, this DLS time. My congratulations to countries, provinces and states that refuse to go along with this insane practice. Concerns far from the equator who feel compelled to save daylight should change their hours of operation.
Happily, none of this is much noted around here. Most times are pretty fuzzy in my neighborhood. (Fuzzy Standard Time?)
An exception seems to be that razor-sharp line between buenos dias and buenas tardes. I am constantly being corrected when I say hello around noon.
In years past, it seems like this is the week, not the day, that Jaltemba Bay changes time. By the time everyone makes the change, we will be in sync with the US and Canada where the change is made next Sunday.
