Everybody told me it was hard to find a good carpenter. I needed a small job done in the kitchen and actually found someone quickly...but the work was not up to my standards. Next I called a non-Mexican who has a good reputation but it was a 3-week wait to get my job started. Then I found Enrique, also called Kike. He has a shop in la Peņita but came to the house. He arrived when he said he would, did the job quickly and conscientiously and charged a very small fee. You know what they say, you can tell by the small jobs if somebody's good. So I'd recommend him. Apparently he does doors, closets, cabinets and furniture. Shop number is 274-3321. Home number is 274-1996. He has power tools too!
