Tom the other day we had people come down from Canada and said they had read on your site that someone had given out new banking info.I did not read it but the bottom line was that if you opened a buisiness account there was no problem for foreigners having an account. The new bank manager at Bancomer has stated very clearly that all foreigners MUST hold an FM3 this law went into effect about 2 years ago and it is still enforced.It does not matter what kind of an account it is and there are no acceptions. Maybe it would be wise to go to the bank and clarify the regulations as there seems to be a lot of questions asked on your board and not clear info being given out. For people who have bank accounts already there is a max on Cash deposits of 25,000.peso per month or there is a 2% charge.Loyd have also said that is their regulations as well. For those who speak Spanish the bank number is 327-274-1133 or -0037. The bank has new staff and no one talks English.
