Off and on, all day yesterday, I worked on a new look for the board. I learned a lot of new tricks along the way.

Screen Capture (screen shot) is a function that I tried many years ago with less than satisfactory results; much resolution was lost in the process. I rejected it as a useless tool for what I do.

Yesterday, one of my mentors suggested it as a solution to a problem I was having. Boyo, I am so happy that I gave it another shot. The software programing for this scheme is vastly improved from the early days.

For those of you in the same boat, I encourage you to see how well this works on your computer. Within Apple systems, this utility is called "Grab". All systems will have something similar. "Grab" is not an overly elaborate program and for my purposes, I think I will be able to fully grasp all the variables with a few more uses.

Basically, Screen Capture allows you to capture anything you can see on your screen (except your reflection, smudges, and insects crawling across). This can be multiple photos you have displayed, side by side, part of a photo (cropping), something you want to keep from the internet, text, etc. You can capture the whole screen or any part of it. It is absolutely legal and ethical to copy anything you see on the internet. What you do with it is another matter.

I also boned up on web-safe colors. There are some easily found sites that have great palates and information on their use.
