Hola Marg... I am sorry that Alaska Airlines changed their policy, so that there is a charge for excess baggage, even if the bag is solely items for charity. Please remember though, the agent who checks in your luggage can still waive the fee if you ask them to. Alaska Airlines has left that discrecionary authority in place... for now. Tom
