Hia Tim & Doug...
Is that better?
The new background color yesterday was more pink/peachish.
Today, I started playing around with color again. I am leaning about RGB scales and HEX scales. I had several phone conversations with Larry Baron about the flyer he made for the Fashion Show. I gave him the wrong code for the pinkish color that I wanted the flyer background to be. I wanted the flyer background to be the same as the board's background.
Well! I found an error on the internet! I was using the HEX code and I gave Larry, what on color site indicated was the equivalent RGB code... Mano, we played around with it a lot and I could not figure out what was wrong... finally I suspected bad information on that site and I was right. At least, I think I found an error. I wrote to the person and it will be interesting (to me at least) what they have to say.
Anyway, I liked the color that Larry made, so now it is a gray green.
The photo of the woven basket is one of my faves. You have probably seen me use it in other ways. Like in the background of Jaltemba Bay Artists Link.
Anywho, I sampled the colors in the basket photo and used them as a palette for most of the new colors.
Doug, as I say, I am just learning about a all this. I think that if you are viewing on an older monitor that has an 8-bit display, you might not be seeing what others see, but you should now be able to see some difference in the look of visited posted and not visited posts.
My eyes are getting overloaded with subtle color variants and my brain is not seeing what it saw earlier today. Still, I am having a ball. It is so great to be retired and have the time to get hung up on minutia.
I also cranked up the font size of the display. None of us are getting any younger! It does look like the larger font size did not change what we see as we type a post. Too bad about that; it is one of the things I have been having trouble seeing clearly. Probably time for a new prescription.
Thanks for commenting, dudes.
Tom
