Which ever way you chose there should be no problem we have recently been over both roads a couple times and found them to be no difficulty at all conditions are good and the differece being the high climb into Tepic and down the other side as well as traffic . Which there is alot more off by way of Tepic. Getting past there is relatively simple just stay following signs . Have fun jiminalta
