I read about the safe theft too. From what I understand, the safe was in the lobby and someone accessed it. There wasnt a safe in our room. I have no idea about the issue, only what you read as well. The people working in the lobby seemed trustworthy to me. I can only imagine that if it was an ongoing problem, word would have got around, and business would suffer. That does not seem to be the case. Not sure what you mean by "taken over by locals". If you mean Mexicans, then yes, the majority of guests are Mexican. Most of whom I spoke to were from Guadalajara or Tepic. Everyones having a good time and I found Mexicans on vacation are much nicer to be around than people from the other two North American countries. There was always a chair to be found at either the pool or on the beach. No problem there. The beach is big enough so that you can usually find your own quiet little spot. Like I said before, it gets much busier on the weekends, especially the holiday weekends, so bear that in mind. I've seen pictures of Easter there. Looked like Daytona at spring break! Just curious, when were you planning on going?
