I think it is very important for him to NOT be totally covered up. No reason for that, especially now that he has powers. And the "protection" reasoning for the full cowl is utter crap, as Kate has not had a helmet/full cowl, and I've not read one suggestion for it otherwisw. The full mask WAS cool looking, but it was a plot device. Maybe something to use later, but for now, I really enjoy the costumes of each team member. I think Eli looks pretty freaking cool, and the team is formidable looking all together. That is of course, merely my opinion. --Previous Message--

Why would Eli get mentored by Luke? I don't think it'd be bad for Luke to be involved AS WELL as Cap, but to have it be a "rather than" thing feels like racism, or segragation. How would it be better? In what way is it not segragating to keep black heroes together, and not have blacks and whites mentor/ be mentored by one another? I don't see much connection between Eli and Luke. Eli and Luke are both black sure, but JUST like how Cap wouldn't take "no" for an answer in fighting against the Nazis despite his physical frailty, Eli wouldn't take "no" for an answer in carrying on his family legacy. Eli wants to be like his grandpa, who wasn't the original Power Man, but WAS a Captain America of sorts.

: If I had my druthers it'd be the first costume
: except with the second one's mask. I don't
: think minority super heroes should disguise
: that fact. With comics so far behind
: society in terms of diversity, every bit
: that is there should be proudly showcased.
: BTW, wouldn't Luke Cage rather than Cap
: mentoring Eli be fantastic?

: I acually like the first one because it made
: him look like a man of mystery like those
: WW2 super-heroes.
