Cyclops has used an image inducer before; during the Twelve Saga, or something like that; He appeared as Polaris instead of himself to fool some Skrulls, oddly enough. Though i do get where you're coming from here - Don't rightly know why they're calling themselves evil, but i get what you mean, it doesn't make sense.
