I'm still going to buy the last issue and I'm still going to be a huge Paul Cornell fan but this mini isn't just not working for me. I also find it just plain awful. Not a fan of the art but it's not a work that would get in the way if the story was better. The story here is a mess and all over the place in its messiness. Maybe I expected too much based on how great Cornell did with the Young Avengers one shot(s?) he did or his stories in Dark X-Men: The Beginning but this book is nearly painful to read. Not Booster Gold bad but close...
