Don't get me wrong - I was hardly defending the CFC. Their record has been one of almost unmitigated disaster. Remember - I was a Governor for several years (despite being warned not to be) and saw it first hand.
All I was saying is that the more meaningful stats in this area might be actual salaries and actual revenue and expense levels.
It's pretty obvious when the real nosedive started - you can talk about internet chess, the CMA and other external factors, but it was the CFC trying to go cheap on the staff that was actually doing the job (and doing it well) that did it.
