Can't view games on MonRoi website

Hi - I seem to have forgotten my userid and password for the MonRoi site. When I try to sign up for a new id/password I cannot view the registration web page - I just get a message that says "Not authorized to view..."

I would appreciate any help -

I had the same problem for CYCC. Monroi did eventually get back to me, but it took several days. By that time, I had already invented a new name for myself, new password, etc.

I forget what they were...

They think by improving the old website they are improving things they are making more people decide not to visit their site. Really smart?????
I don't think so. It took me forever just to get results of first round of CYCC and then Cdn Open
I'll never buy their unit if this continues.

For chess tournament results go to monroi.com, Click on Tournament that interests you, and than click on Results. To find Pairings, click on Pairings. To find Schedule, click on Schedule... COCC Website To see COCC chess video click here: COCC Video

I see you guys are getting scared that no one can find you anymore. You made a big mistake adding usernames and passwords but will not admit that blunder.

Username and password is added for communications of members (you need some username for live chat and other functions). We emailed you username (brown) and password, and a link to the Canadian Open live games (looks like you registered 3 days ago, but never logged in). Canadian Open Live Chess

Yes I did log in Twice and you did not send me to the proper site . So it looks like I have to chat to you here as you website is useless right now. Anyway who is winning the CDn Open as I cannot find out at your site.

monroi.com Problems

Maybe you have experienced a similar problem to mine. When I asked to see games, either live or replay, it dulls the picture and asks me to re-sign in. When I click on the box to enter my ID, the cursor does not appear in the box no matter what I do. I have discovered that even though it does not show, I can still type the information and then there is no problem.

Other than this, there are no problems for me other than the participants who won't use monroi so we can't follow the games, dang it all!

onroi wa s agreat site in 2006 and 2007 now it is like a piece of dead meat. They think that teir improvements are the cat,s meow but they are now the skunks revenge very smelly. They had a greaty site ut now the so called specialist have made it a piece of crap.
try tp log in and you go around the world they have fd up royally.

I heard that, at the 2008 CYCC, participants were invited to "rent" a MonRoi recorder... $40 for the event. If that is the usual situation, then I should think that players might find a better use for their money.

Hi,

For me it always work fine.

Here is my personnal positive experiences:

1 - MonRoi changed my daugter's broken device no charge. This is a good service from MonRoi.

2 - The MonRoi representative was very responsive and kind in the tournaments we have been.

3 - I can see my daugter's games live in tournaments.

Looks like after I signed up to join I bookmarked a page that went no where. Sorry for getting so upset. But I do not like the idea that they changed my password. I'll try and join again with a different user name.

I just got an email from Monroi.
Yes my username is brown but the idiots changed my password to something differnet then what I registered with. So if I was playing the Monkey's Butt variation then the cat's meow variation would be the final posting.

I just went to the fabulous mon roi site and I could not log in and I could not even see live games. A great messed up improvement to a site that was easier than apple pie before. What a stupid set up now . Progress is defieately a downgrading fukup to a once great site. You are definetly a bunch of donkeys now. Or maybe Jack ass would be a proper name.

I find it amazing that people complain about something offered to them for FREE. For the record, I bought some PCM's for my club and MonRoi was always helpful and responsive to my needs. If a total nongeek like me can figure out their new site so can you. Stop whining.

When Monroi delivers then I will praise them until then,Make a cake with strawberry jam. Or Find a plan that improves making sugar from sugar cane .

I figured it out in a roundabout way.

One of the webpages showed that I was logged in as braincramp (I like to be able to live up to my user name 8-)).

If I was already logged in why couldn't I view that games. In any event, re-logging in on the view games page did the trick.

It is a confusing website. Still don't know why you have to login to view games. Oh well -it's free.

The older version of Monroi (a few years back) had a section where one could download many .pgn or .cbh at once, as one file. This version of the site seems to only allow to copy & paste one .pgn game at a time, unless I am missing a link somewhere.

Is the Quebec chess fed. site planning on eventually releasing their games publicly for CYCC and/or Cdn. Open? It would sure suck (ie bandwidth, etc) for Monroi's part if users who wanted to check the games vs an engine eval. when the user would have to copy & paste each/many game(s) individually, my interest primarily being academic as opposed to for commercial syndication usage.

No reply yet from the email contact on the Quebec fed. page either. The main concern seems to be whether paitence or persistence in getting those games should be the virtue that onewould seek.

I had also been hesitant in signing up (yet again) to Monroi when they did render my old account obsolete a couple of years back when they added in a new terms of licence, as well, somewhat preferring their old GUI system.

Hi Kai,

I don't want to be nasty here, but the folks from MonRoi and the Quebec Chess Federation are busy working at the tournament...and this after a CYCC in Quebec City...they probably have not had a day off in well over a week. By the time the Canadian Open is over, they will each have logged more than a month's work (in terms of hours) in the space of about 15 days.

Just something to think about...when consuming their FREE service!
