Final CT Posting

For the 2.5 years I worked at CFC you all had a lot of fun throwing at least 3 different rabid unchecked characters against me. Yes a lot of fun!

You all had an opportunity to make my life as miserable as possible, but I think I�ve given as good as I�ve taken!

I leave you readers now. You will now read it, interpret it, that�s your right. But as I leave you I want you to know, just think how much your going to be missing, you don�t have Litchfield to kick around anymore! Because readers this is my last post on this site, and I hope that points I have demonstrated will at least make members, governors, the executive recognize that they have a right and a responsibility � if they are against an office employee, give him the shaft! But also recognize if they give him the shaft, put one lonely executive member on his side who will report what the employee actually does now and then!

Gerry, I admit that I am somewhat ignorant of the political past you are referring to (thanks to a workaholic job environment, but I digress) ... regardless, in the dealings that you and I had, I was very comfortable with you, and I hope that I am not one of the people who you felt was not nice to you. I wish you all the best, and maybe our paths will cross again.

No, don't go Gerry. Your posts over the last year have certainly helped me to understand what I'm up against.

I always had the impression you really enjoyed being ED ?? Just kidding. The job is far more challenging than most people give credit. For those who haven't walked in the ED's shoes, they just don't get it.

The CFC owes you a huge thank you and belated apology.

Gerry, you certainly helped open my eyes to many important issues in Canadian chess, and the scene is much better and more informed for your efforts. Let's hope that true, long-term improvement and development can be achieved in the near future, that we have already seen the worst, and that those black days never return again.
