Thank you Sicknote, it's nice to hear some positive comments made about the club's achievements so far this season! There are a couple of things I don't really agree with though.
Not sure what gives you the impression the league is weaker this season. Ok we have lost Bridgwater to the Southern League, but the likes of Welton, Frome and Bideford are just as strong and on their day good footballing sides like last year. Plus you have a class Truro team that should win the league comfortably (with the help of serious financial backing). Doesn't seem that much weaker to me?
In regards to last season's team, I'd like to give them great credit for what they achieved to take Corsham Town to where they are now. Not sure where you got the impression from that we as fans are not respectful though? There are many people at the club who are 100% dedicated to Corsham Town and respect every team that puts on the red and white shirt through thick and thin! However, off the top of my head I only know of Scott Lye playing at a higher level from Nobby's team. Excusing the retired players, what has happened to the rest? Did they not want to be part of Mel's young squad? Just look at how successful Eggo has been this season since deciding to stay at the Southbank!
