I think that perhaps to a degree there is a state of disbelief that a saeson which started with virtually no hope, moved into a very long unbeaten and hopeful era and then to fall flat and becoming almost the whipping boys of the league ( conceeding 4 and 5 goals a game )has taken its toll on spectators opinions. I suppose to be fair we are in better position than expected in August 07. However it must be said that the players in the last 5 - 6 games havelooked totally knackered. Playing in the Premier league, to which at this time last year they had had no experience of and no idea that they would be polaying at a much higher level, coupled with their Sunday league committments has taken its toll on them. Injuries picked at both levels of their game are not healing up as well as they should and they are turning out far less than 100% fit. Perhaps Mel can look at this problem and get them to stop playing Sunday league football, afterall people watching Corsham Town pay good money to see what they expect is a fit team on the pitch. Also Mel might consider explaining the off-side rule to certain members of the forward line who have been habitually caught off-side many times every game. Well done lads for an entertaining season, doing better than we ever imagined and lets look for a stronger challange next season
