Well it was a night for heroes and up to the plate stepped Joner, after a hostile spell of bowling he came to the crease with the target of 120 looking a distant possibility, but he single handidly stroked the ball around the park and hauled us within touch of the target. This left Foggy who smacked his second ball for 6 to send the adoring fans wild with excitement.
Again it was a team effort, all bowled really well and Tisser and Nibsy chipped both played excellently to get their 30's.
It has been a long hard season and last night was a reward for all of the hard work behind the scenes that goes unnoticed. Following the game the following awards were made at the end of season meal:
Best bowling: This was a close run thing with Browner, Tisser, Tim and Foggy bowling well all season but Watter took the award with his 2 wickets last week which put him on a hat trick with the hat trick ball getting smacked for 4
Best fielding: This was no contest as there was only one winner.......Richie T. His run out earlier in the season was world class
Best Batting: Sorry that was me despite getting out last night
Young player of the year: Again goes to Watter, he has broken into the first team this season after playing well for the youth team last year and has been consistent with both bat and ball
Most famous brother: Goes to Tisser
Smallest ears: Goes to Browner
