Match Officials Fees and Expenses - season 2011-12
After a period of consultation it has been decided that the expenses for Contributory League Match Officials for season 2011-12 will rise from 32p to 34p per mile.
The Match Fees will remain at £45 for the Referee, £30 for Assistant Referees and £30 for 4th Officials where appointed. These fees have remained frozen at this level since the 2007-08 season.
In season 2008-09 it was agreed by the Contributory League Review Board to raise the mileage allowance from 27p to 34p. This was then reduced by the Football Association for season 2009-10 to 32p, as a gesture to clubs experiencing a difficult financial climate.
However, The FA now believe that a rise to 34p for season 2011-12 is necessary, taking into consideration the increasing cost of petrol in 2011.
