To all Clubs at Step 5 of the National League System

Steps 5/6 Review
As you may be aware, at the request of The FA’s Leagues Committee we are currently carrying out a review of the Steps 5/6 structure within the National League System, one of the aims of which is to look at the possibility of reducing the 14 leagues currently at Step 5 down to 12 leagues.
We have reached a point whereby the Steps 5/6 Review Group wish to share some initial thoughts of what Step 5 may look like going forward. We intend to share these thoughts with the leagues at a meeting on Sunday 8 January 2012. This will be followed by a series of regional meetings to which Step 5 clubs are invited to send up to two representatives. The regional meetings are each to commence at 1.00pm with light refreshments available from 12.30pm and will be held as follows:-
