Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Please Help...scared! need dentures!

After years & years of severe periodontal disease I finally have to make the choice to have the remaining teeth in my mouth removed and dentures put in... I am scared to death!!! how painful is the extractions? most of my upper teeth or gone or very loose... what does dentures feel like? I don't like that piece of plastic on the roof of your mouth...do you get use to it?? also i am planning on getting pregnant w/the help of IVF how long is the recovery time after the extractions?? i am in my early forties and don't have much time to wait for IVF but don't want the infection in my mouth while pregnant.. please help with any advice and support Than You!
