the implants are surgically placed in the bone of the upper and lower jaws (if necessary)... for me, there was a period of osseointegration whereby the implants fuses to the bones.. it is like a root of tooth. after 3 months, my regular dentist screwed the crowns on the surface of the implants. there are several videos and pictures available of the procedure on line... for me, a wonderful experience
