I had 20 extractions 9 days ago. I have a low TOLERANCE for pain and I think that would be the key because everyone is different. I got my dentures 3 days after extractions so it was a bit harder to deal with the pain and swelling and couldn't wear them. I am slowly but surely getting there. I try wearing the uppers for a few hours and then the lowers. I still have trouble with both at the same time. Adjustments are needed. I still have soreness/dull throbbing and sometimes a shooting pain. But that is all in the healing. Ibuprofen helps (if you can take it). Wanna here something funny? I tried wearing the whole set to bed last night. I figured if I could sleep in them I could get used to them...only to be woken up by my husband to say my lowers were stuck to his arm...now how did that happen? Guess I need more fixodent.
