I certainly can understand why. But at least now you know what to expect of her. If I were you, I'd proceed with the implant (either using the OS she recommended or finding a new one of my own choosing) . . . and start looking for a new general dentist immediately. Whoever does the implant might be able to recommend a good one, but based on your past experience — take your time, interview a couple and don't make a decision until you've found one who inspires your full confidence. Then, schedule an appointment for a routine check-up, so you know what other procedures may be on the horizon for you. Even if they don't need to be done immediately, planning and saving for them beats scurrying around for solutions at the last minute.
