Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Has anyone heard of caps being rejected by your body? I had 4 caps put on my front upper teeth and my gums have been extremely swollen and very painful since. I have been told now that my body is rejecting the caps and I will have to remove them??? WTF, I just blew 10,000$!! Am I just screwed or di thay maybe do something wrong???
