Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Seeking help for dental appointment this week

Posted by annoym on 6/21/2009, 9:35 pm

I am going back on Tuesday for two front crowns. They were put in two weeks ago but I wasn't satisfied with how they matched the adjacent teeth. They went back to the lab to have some of their shine dulled using a polishing tool.

I have another end of the day appointment and the weather here is suppose to be rainy. I was hoping for a sunny day so I could go outside and see how they looked in natural light. The doc seems to think looking into a 6 inch mirror in a room with poor lighting should suffice.

I'm anticipating more pressure this time to accept them and sign a release. Any advice besides bringing someone along. Should I bring my own lighting? Do I ask for a warranty or some guarantee that they will last. It's going to cost a little over 4 grand for the two crowns and abutments.

One of the abutments is longer than the other... I didn't really get an answer as to why. Here is a picture...

    TIA
