Hi Patty,
Depending on the size of your mouth, you may not even need one implant for each tooth. Sometimes dentists are able to space it out so that you have just one implant in a spot where you'd have 2 or 3 teeth.
For example, I am missing (I think!) 4 teeth on my side and the dentists says he can just put two implants there.
