Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?
young daughter will not use dentures
Posted by pat on 7/2/2009, 5:32 am
We have a special situation. My daughter have amelogenisis imperfecta, which is a genetical defect and she is only 16. she has been to the dentist once a month for years to see if it is possible to save the teeth. Now a week ago she had all teeth extracted and got orgeous immediate dentures.
The case is she will not have them in ever she says.
that is of course a social problem, but that she obviously mangage to cope with.
My concern is : Is it a danger that her gums will suffer from not having dentures in? Will they shrink faster?
It will be nice if I could get an answer pro or con dentures influation on her gums.
How will her face develop if she has no dentures in?
will appreciate comments pleas
