Good luck. I've walked in almost the identical shoes, so know first-hand how frustrating it can be. When we learned our then 14 or 15-year old son needed glasses, my husband immediately took him to be fitted for contact lenses. Our son looked forward to receiving them and since he already was happily wearing braces, the last thing we anticipated was a problem with lenses. We couldn't have been more wrong. After just one unsuccessful attempt to get them in place on his own, he refused to even try again, insisting that he'd rather wear glasses. To this day . . . although he now has two kids of his own . . . I don't think he ever has even considered a switch to lenses. Like your daughter, he has a strong personality. In many ways it has served him well in life — but I still wish that just once in a while he had listened to Mom and Dad. Still, I think you're on the right track. Eventually, your daughter will find her own reasons for wearing those dentures — hopefully sooner rather than later — not for your sake, but for hers.
