Sorry to learn of your daughters condition.
I too needed dentures at young age of 18. I had little difficulty adjusting because I was too busy going through U.S. Navy hospital corps school training too worry about it or my looks. I was also grateful for the relief of much discomfort. That was 50 years ago and I have not been at all regretful or concerned about looks or health matters. My concern currently however is in regards to digestion due to other digestive health matters.
Part of your daughters situation may include the discomfort of immediate type dentures that probably are more uncomfortable than usual.
I favor some of the suggestions mentioned as well as finding ways to be more involved in things she enjoys. Having good positive family love and support which she can find here as well as from possible friends is always in order. She may be responsive to some mentoring from a counselor or another trusted adult, teacher at school, etc. while going through this at such a difficult age especially. I hope you stay in touch here too for your sake as well.
