slynn - find another dentist. Please. I had some really bad experiences with dentists who discouraged me and berated me for the condition of my mouth, which was despite taking good care of my teeth and gums always. Find a dentist who will sit down with you and give you all your options and allow you to choose a plan that you're comfortable with. Saying you'll "have problems even after dentures" is cruel and most likely not true. Don't let him do this to you. Find another dentist, ASAP!
