    If you don't like the color your teeth are now, then yes, you would whiten them before picking out the veneer color. I didn't have mine whitened. I wouldn't mind my teeth being a little whiter but I was having a lot of dental work done and I was kind of ready for it to be over. I had 3 veneers and a crown placed on my four upper front teeth. I was already nervous about how those were going to come out so I was scared of whitening. I didn't want them to come out too white and I also didn't want to whiten them to a color that would be difficult to maintain. If you have the patience to go slow in making your decisions I think you'll be the most satified in the end. You spend a lot of money on this kind of work and you really do want to be totally satified when it's all done.
