2nd Root Canal on one Tooth
Posted by Tom on 8/18/2009, 2:31 pm
I just had a root canal on one tooth (#7) for the second time. I first had it done and capped 8 years ago. The canal (for whatever reason) became infected again and I just had the procedure. The endodontist created a small whole in the back of the crown and filled it with the temporary filling. I am now going to a dentist next week.
Since it is already a capped tooth do I need to get a new crown or can they just fill the whole with a filling? (This process has been expensive enough and I do not want the dentist to push for another crown if it isn't necessary).
