Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

bridge removal

I got a 3 unit bridge on my bottom right in march. In June I chipped off some of the porcelain while clenching at night.(I didn't have my mouth guard made yet because my dental work was not yet completed). My dentist is going to remove the bridge and send it back to the lab for repair. My question is I'm scared to have it removed,he will be using a "bridge tapper" the instrument with the hook to pry it off.Has anyone else had this done?I don't like surprises and would like to know what to expect during this procedure.Thanks.
