Cracked Molar
Posted by Emily on 8/19/2009, 1:10 am
At the very end of my biannual check up today, my dentist told me I had a crack in lower back left molar and that I should schedule an appoint to have a crown placed over this tooth. This tooth has not been giving me any pain or showing any other symptoms of the crack. I can't really see anything when I look in a mirror. I have never had a cavity nor have I ever needed any major dental work beyond orthodontics and wisdom teeth removal. My question is how important is it that I fix this? Should I get a second opinion? I'm terrified that if I get this crown, I'll just be opening up a whole can of worms. Thanks very much!
