Looking for info on choosing a Cosmetic Dentist?

Not sure if dentist is doing the right thing?

    Hi,
My front 2 teeth had root canals and 2 addtional front teeth had decay, so I opted to go for the cosmetic dentist. One of my front teeth (the tooth on left side next to front tooth) never came out. It's lying under my bones..anyway..my teeth looked natural w/o any spaces. My dentist reconstructed a bridge and added the missing teeth by making other teeth bit narrower...now th issues are:

    (i) my teeth are not even (ie width wise)...the symmetry is little off. Specially, when I looked at the real porcelean teeth today. (he has not fixed it yet ..)

(ii) my dentist told me that he needed to 'clean' my gums...my gum line all uneven now...I am so upset...it's really bad...he made it very receding...I am so upset about it..is it normal? My lips are little low..so when I smile the gumline does not show.

(iii) It took hime more than 5-6 sittings. He still has not fixed the permanents yet. All this time, he said he needed to prep the gums and teeth. Again, is it normal? I thought it takes 3 sitting the max..since my gums and teeth were in healthy shape..no issue other than tooth decay and root canal.

I am very nervous. Shoudl I go for a second opinion to see if he is doing the right procedure?

Please do help me and guide me.
    Thanks
