bad smell and pain from crown
Posted by Laura on 8/22/2009, 6:07 pm
I've had my crown on a molar for about 6 or 7 years and ever since, I have been experiencing gum pain and/or pressure. Additionally, every so often, I will get a bad taste from that area of my mouth. It's going to sound odd but the taste resembles the scent of a persons breath when they haven't brushed their teeth in awhile. I brush twice a day, sometimes more, and floss, including around the crown. I think that the problem with my crown is that it is too big for the area. My teeth are small but the crown is much larger than all of my other teeth. Is there anyone else experiencing this problem? And if so, do you have any advice on how to deal with this issue?
