Wow, I had a root canal that my current dentist say's might need to be re-done at some point in the future. I did not know that it might be more expensive, comparatively speaking, than the first.

Anyway, in terms of the least expensive route to accomplish your goal, have you considered having a dental student perform the procedure? That would save you a chunk. I'm sure s/he would be supervised and would do a good job.

Do you know why a second root canal would be more complicated and expensive?
