    Filing down 3 PERFECTLY HEALTHY teeth is asking for trouble - big trouble. The procedure of "filing down" those teeth exposes them to the need for a root canal. Can you hear the cash register ringing yet?
    I know of only one kind of single-tooth bridge and that is a Maryland bridge which has fallen out of favor with many practitioners because it doesn't hold up very well. To get one, the backs of the adjacent teeth are "worked on" and wings from the bridge are cemented in place.

    As you will hear from many others here, an implant is a much better alternative.
