Val, it sounds like they were very thorough. One of the most important things for a person to keep in mind when getting dentures is to maintain a positive attitude. Your daughter is charging headfirst into uncharted waters. Everyone around her must remain positive and also have realistic expectations. Modern dentures can and will look very good, in a younger person it is not likely anyone would suspect a young woman with beautiful teeth of wearing dentures. Staying in close contact with the dentist during this whole event will help ensure as smooth a transition as possible. Encourage her to ask questions of the dentist and to come on this board and ask questions. Barbara
