head shaking & implants?

hey, i'm sorry if this seems like a silly question but it's for anyone with any experience of implants, especially thosee on lower back teeth.

one oral surgeon i've been to see recently said that when you have an implant placed your head 'vibrates' as the jaw is drilled into.

is this the case? it's sort of freaked me out a bit!
