Hi Robin, My partial was made before I got my teeth extracted. And placed right away. Mine was for front teeth so I'm not sure about back teeth. I takes about a week after fitting to get the partial back. It is like wearing a retainer. I was told to leave it in for the first 24 hrs. and then I can remove it to sleep if I want to. I wanted to let you know at first I hated it. It felt like a foreign object in my mouth. But after a week I got used to it. I don't even know its there anymore. So remember if you hate it, It WILL get better.
