Re: crown cutting

I'm not sure what you mean by "crown cutting," Mutaher; but I did have a similar problem several years ago.
My top, front tooth also broke. Actually it suffered a severe fracture that extended from midway on the front of the tooth, up to the tip of the root and surrounding bone.
Oddly, the tooth looked fine externally, but even minor pressure on it affected the nerve, causing intolerable pain.
It was rescued with a post and crown that survived for roughly 25 years, but as time passed, the teeth on my lower arch crowded forward, and put pressure on the back of the opposing teeth each time I bit into food.
Eventually the pressure loosened the post, to the point that it no longer could support the crown and I ended up with an implant.
However before proceeding with that work, I was advised by several other dentists I had consulted that no restoration would be successful long-term, unless the lower teeth were realigned.
To cope with the situation, my current dentist (a) scultped the backs of both my implant crown and the regular crown on the adjacent incisor, just enough to avoid having the upper and lower teeth meet.
I also had my lower teeth realigned, via Invisalign (a type of orthodonture that does not require wire braces or metal brackets). It was completed within a matter of months.
The Invialign treatments were completed approximatley 5 years ago and those teeth have never presented any further problems.
